The Federation of Rural Women's Associations (FADEMUR) presented in March the "Guide to good practices on diversification in rural areas: how to generate sustainable experiences," a publication that includes twenty-one agrotourism, ecotourism, and rural tourism initiatives run by women that can serve as inspiration for other entrepreneurs who want to launch projects that improve tourism offerings and boost the rural economy. Among them is Finca La Floración, led by its director and co-founder Pilar Hortua, being the only proposal from the Region of Murcia.
The publication has a dual objective: to promote a quality rural tourism model and demonstrate the viability of sustainable initiatives. The guide offers detailed information sheets on each experience and a series of simple steps and practical models that can serve as a tool for women who want to replicate them in their surroundings.
Thus, the files include the location of the experience, a brief biography of the rural entrepreneur responsible for the project, a description of the activity, the cost of implementing it, as well as notes on some aspects that highlight the initiative, among other information.
The Guide can be downloaded at this link.
